Where there are children involved, a dissolution of marriage becomes much more complex, and usually more emotionally draining. No parent wants to deprive his or her child its right to have two parents, unless one of the parties will abuse the child, which happens only in rare cases. It is important to remember, regardless of the intensity of the feelings of the spouses, that the emotional and social health of young lives is literally at stake here.
